T&Cs

TERMS & CONDITIONS

All transactions are subject to the following terms and conditions. If you are in any doubt about any of the details below please contact us for clarification.  None of these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Price

The price for the goods as agreed at the time of order will be held for twelve months and confirmed in writing to you.

Payment

Payment of deposits can be made by debit card, credit card or bank transfer.  A deposit of up to 10% is payable on order.  Balances must be paid by bank transfer by midday on the day of installation or by cheque 7 days prior to installation.  Credit and debit cards are not accepted for balance payments.

Delivery

The Company cannot guarantee a specific delivery time or date although every effort will be made to agree a mutually convenient time. The Company reserves the right to extend the delivery date where it deems necessary. The customer shall take delivery within 7 days of being notified that the goods are ready for delivery and installation. If the Company is unable to assemble the lodge on the agreed date due to postponement by the customer, or non-receipt of funds then the balance must be made in full and a mutually agreeable date rearranged.

Cancellation

An order can be cancelled within 6 weeks of agreed installation date and must be in writing by email or letter.  Any deposit paid will be refunded, less any credit card charges.

Access and Installation

It is the responsibility of the customer to provide free and unobstructed access for delivery and entry to the site. Any potential access problems i.e. through house, sharp turns, up steps, through archways etc. must be notified at time of order so that panel sizes can be checked. Any costs incurred by the Company for a failed delivery shall be recovered from the customer.

Base preparations

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the base is prepared in accordance with the Company’s instructions. It is essential to provide a firm, level, correctly shaped base for your lodge.  The Company cannot be held liable for any instability or deterioration in buildings erected on an unsuitable base. If the base is not suitable and installation is abandoned, the balance of payment must be made immediately together with an additional fee of £500 to cover the additional labour and transport costs of a return visit when an appropriate base has been laid.

Maintenance

Unless you have opted for our premium timber treatment, two coats of a good quality wood preserver must be applied within a fortnight of installation. There after, ALL LODGES require application of a further coat annually. In areas of extreme weather conditions we advise that you take professional local advice regarding the care of your lodge. All the wood is checked for quality before delivery but as it is a natural product we cannot accept any responsibility for timber shrinkage, cracking or warping after the building has been erected. Hinges and locks should be periodically oiled.

The roof of the lodge
MUST be kept moss free to prevent water ingress and leaking and overhanging trees and shrubs must be periodically cut back. If the above advice is not adhered to by the customer then the Company cannot be held responsible for any severe deterioration to the structure of the building and may invalidate the warranty.

Planning Permission

It is the customer’s responsibility to check whether planning permission is required in their area. We recommend checking the Gov website: The Planning Portal.

Limitation of liability

Should any defect in the lodge become apparent (subject to fair wear and tear) the customer shall give written notice to the Company at the earliest opportunity.  The Company shall have a reasonable opportunity to inspect the goods in question. The Company cannot accept any responsibility for consequential loss or damage and the Company’s total liability shall be limited to repairing or replacing the goods in question or refunding the price of the goods.

Retention of title

Ownership of the lodge supplied shall remain with the Company until all monies owed by the customer have been paid in full. The Company may, for the purpose of the recovery of its property, enter any premises and repossess the goods.
